"She cries alot, Mommy." -Asa

Having a sister is rough sometimes,
especially when she cries constantly.  Like literally, constantly.
Asa has been an awesome big brother - but he's also had a rough time.
When Patty came and visited she helped me make Asa his own library while he was napping...
He loved it and goes there a lot when his sissy is crying.
It's wonderful that he has a special little place...
and he puts the books away after he reads them just like Mrs. Patty told him he should.
Thanks, Patty!

Here's a few pictures of Miss Fussy Pants and her brother's new library.  :)

Project Office - Complete!!

More than a month ago I had a great idea to organize our office - and make use of the hideous wall shelves that I knew would come in handy for crafting tools.  (The hubs so wanted to rip them out of the wall.)  It took me quite some time to organize it - then, finally, I got it all in working order last weekend, was close to posting this... and then Asa got really, really sick.  I've been freaking out about him all week - I even packed a bag thinking I was going to have to take him to a hospital.  But!  He's stopped vomiting and kept down his medicine today, he seems to be making progress, and he finally ate tonight!!  It seems we are on the up!!  And he now has a really nice pediatrician in Indiana.  Phew.  :)  Anyway, back to the office... I can't show you the other side yet cuz we need to work on organizing Ryan's space.  :)

I started with moving boxes - I went through empty and full boxes until I picked those that I thought would fit great on the shelves together.  And then I started re-making them...

 I chopped their flaps off...

...and wrapped with twine or burlap or grey yarn.  Several boxes (diaper boxes in particular) I had to paint the color of my wrap so that the box didn't peek through the wrapping.

I used adhesive spray glue and a hot glue gun to complete their wraps.  Then I found some sweet grey fabrics and covered the tops of some of the boxes and made some ruffles to flair them up.  A button and a handmade tag is on each box.  Here's the final look...

Here's a close-up of some of the tags (my phone camera's not the greatest, sorry for the blurriness or lighting)...

Here's a little collage of the project...

And then!!  Here's some shots of my newly created crafting space...

I think there's some un-written rule that I can't post on this blog without some Asa pictures, so here's some I found from the past month.  It's fun to see him looking so alive in these!  Today he asked me several times if we could go to the park.  I can't wait until this strep sickness is gone and we can go play with his friends again!

This next shot is of Asa and his first cup of hot chocolate... he loved it.  :)

Asa got a big-kid hair cut and style this month.  He calls it his "spiky hair-cut".  :)  I love the bottom left picture - he was SO excited that the stylist was giving him a mohawk!!

And... a picture of the belly bump.
18 weeks, baby.
We find out gender in NINE days!!!!!!
